E-brokers report outages as Dow jumps 1,000 points in vaccine rally

E-brokers are experiencing outages on Monday amid records in the Dow and S&P 500.

Somewhat troubling. I hope TD/Schwab get the kinks worked out before the merger becomes official. I would have expected Robinhood having more issues today.

More than 17,000 Schwab customers reported problems, Downdetector said. Schwab said in a tweet that “due to a technical issue, clients may have difficulty logging in,” and that it is working to resolve the issue.


Customers of TD Ameritrade reported 8,000 issues during the morning, almost entirely with logging in.

Free-trading app Robinhood saw a spike in problems with server connections and log-ins, with about 1,000 reported issues
