Does anyone else get tired of hearing the media crap/stereotype of the "Federal Government Worker", or is it just me ?
Yeah, I've seen my share of "lazy" workers, bonehead bosses, gross inefficiencies, etc etc....BUT....I've also seen an awful lot of people who truly CARE about their job, and do it well...is the private sector really much better/different ?
Granted, we usually make a pretty decent living as a "Fed" (I can't complain !) but we also know we'll never get rich, either (unless we get to one of those stratosphere positions that allow us to walk away and into a Beltway Bandit position, or follow the good TSP advice from folks here)
In my 27 years of service, I always felt like Rodney Dangerfield..."I get no respect".... How about you ?
