I have no other info except that he died last night in his house. He was 65.

I watched Mark since the '90s. He was old school and never left the viewer short changed. He always demanded the answers that any viewer would want to know. He was a great mix of being objective and being human. He's also who I watched all morning on 9/11.

Mr. Haines will be missed, he was part of my morning routine, a big grumpy teddy bear with a soft heart. He was old school and not a token pawn, he represented the little guy. Thanks Mark, you've served your fellow man well, you won't be replaced, you broke the mold... :(

I got a late start today and I just saw this. I'm shocked. He indeed was a great commentator who I watched everyday for the last 20 years.

That man was a stright shooter.

He will be missed.

I only got to see him on youtube rebroadcasts, but he was great!

I hope they consider me when trying to figure out who gets to work with Erin! I could see a lot of his influence on her from when she first started!

I hate to break it to you, but Erin left CNBC a few weeks ago. But I think she will have her own show soon on CNN.

Oh no, I knew it!

I was hoping to get with her at CNN!

With her talking money and E.D. Hill on CNN, maybe they'll be less liberal in their reporting!

We'll see!
