Chartgame...

Well THAT blew chunks.

I tried the game, and bought at EXACTLY the wrong time twice, and ended up at the end down below what I started with-

You have:
$9,388.35 in cash
$0.00 in shares
Your position is worth:
$9,388.35 (-6.12%)
Buy and hold would be:
$7,075.39 (-29.25%)

The good thing i guess is I was better than the buy and hold. The bad thing is I was not as well off as if I had never seen it.

Thanks for pointing that out Jayhawker- that was cool.

Wow, what a cool exercise. Mostly paid attention to 50 day ema and volume. I exited shorts too early, also bought too early and held too long. I am an optimist, what can i say? I got a little frustrated there about 2/3 of the way through, finally just gritted my teeth and held a long position until it came around then took the profit off the table.

Most valuable lesson: it's OK to be in cash. That idea rarely occurs to me. If i guess wrong and get out that's one thing, but if i guess wrong and go 100% the other way that's twice as bad. light bulb just came on.
