Well, that extreme weather drop in temps doesn't happen over here. If it dips below 68, it feels like the beginning of a new Ice Age.

Basically the same high amplitude warm/dry high pressure systems across the Pacific and parts of Europe resulting in much warmer temperatures are also amplifying a small but unusually deep Polar vortex over eastern North America. This very small area (see map below) is much cooler than normal, while most of the rest of the planet is baking.

Yup. only weather. It was 88 on the patio a couple hours ago. 57 now. Low tonight predicted 50. Just wanted to share.

Thanks for your concern but you live in A Tropical Paradise, beautiful enjoy it there are not to many places like that. In Georgia some parts are semitropical and we don't get to much of that nnuut freezing weather down here, I even have a palm tree next to my pool. I had two but one died.

Here Ya go the Jet Stream is dragging the cold Yankee weather from the North down to the South, gonna kill my Banana trees for sure.

Nah! Got electric heat pump and a fireplace and a cord of firewood in the backyard. Mama keeps my feet warm at night!
