Thanks for your concern but you live in A Tropical Paradise, beautiful enjoy it there are not to many places like that. In Georgia some parts are semitropical and we don't get to much of that nnuut freezing weather down here, I even have a palm tree next to my pool. I had two but one died.

Basically the same high amplitude warm/dry high pressure systems across the Pacific and parts of Europe resulting in much warmer temperatures are also amplifying a small but unusually deep Polar vortex over eastern North America. This very small area (see map below) is much cooler than normal, while most of the rest of the planet is baking.

Well, that extreme weather drop in temps doesn't happen over here. If it dips below 68, it feels like the beginning of a new Ice Age.
