First, let me assure everyone I have searched in several places for this info. What does BlackRock or TSP charge me everytime I place an IFT?
Thanks, Respro

It's part of the management fees applied to the funds. There isn't a "charge" to your account.

I'm assuming that it doesn't cost any more to me if my make 2 IFTs a month as opposed to none. Am I correct?

have you tried looking underneath you? or in front of you? or sometimes even on top of you? that's usually where i find one.

UhOh FRTIB and ETAC look out. Someone is asking questions.

The above is a bit fecetious. Ask all the questions you want. Many here have. It is good that new members are asking again. You may feel some of the answers you got were less than answers. Frixxx answered your questions correctly without getting in to specifics.

ETAC may be a new term to you. see: https://www.tsp.gov/PDF/formspubs/etaclist.pdf

The information below is old. I think there are about 100 staff members now. I could be wrong. FRTIB are the people who manage your funds. With some help.

Exerp from http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d07541.pdf

FRTIB compensates employees according to federal pay schedules. Currently, FRTIB employs about 65 staff members, the majority of whom are paid according to the General Schedule. About 28 percent of these employees are compensated at or below the GS-11 level. Accordingly, to the extent that the composition of FRTIB’s staff is appropriate, compensation costs appear reasonable. The Executive Director is compensated according to level three of the Executive Schedule. Additionally, 7 staff members are part of the Senior Executive Service. These Senior Executive Service positions are all approved by the Office of Personnel Management. Each of the 5 board members—who are not otherwise officers or employees of the federal government—are compensated at the daily rate of basic pay for level IV of the Executive Schedule for each day the board member is engaged in performing a function for FRTIB

If you do that math, 18 are GS-11 or below, 8 are SES leaving 38.8 GS-12 through 15. No doubt there is a .2% 11 or below and a .8% 12-15 in this mix. maybe several.

As far as what it actually cost for any of the fund management companies when you make an IFT, I can only assume they move the funds all at once after the members make their requests. Possibly why you have to decide at Noon EST and they don't move until well after the markets close?

It costs nothing, nothing. Go back to work. You will be told what you need to know.:D

Your next question is inevitable and quite logical. Please ask it in your own way. Please ask it. Note the smiley after my above statement.
