Australia and New Zealand

Wham bam thank you yam! I suppose no buttering up would prevent that evil spirit from giving a female a mashing!

Actually, I find it interesting that various ancient (and current !) cultures endow their deities, and even normal people, with exaggerated genitals ! Many of the Australian cave painting females had the same issue, and were also depicted as lactating, or not ! Might have something to do with eating the newly-discovered berries, or "tucker"...

Anyone who has been to Greece, or Italy, has seen the same thing...I believe the Far East cultures do the same thing, but we've never been to that part of the world !

Maybe that explains our culture's fascination with the Kardasians...

...or my personal fascination with Raquel Welch, Pamela Anderson, and Paula Abdul !!! Naw...that's probably an adolescent boy thing... :D

I took this picture of "art" when visiting the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy. They're less inhibited about sexuality in Italy.
La dolce vita !

Marino Marini’s The Angel of the City 1948 (cast 1950?)
Marini, an Italian sculptor, often used the horse and its rider within his work. As he continued his exploration of this union and equestrian themes the lines became harsher and much of his lines in the 40s were harsher consisting of the horse’s neck jutting out from its body and the rider mimicking the motions or vice versa. Both man and horse and dependent upon each other, although the man is looking up as if to connect his spirit to a higher power with arms stretched out as a cross. But his erection brings him back to a state of flesh, humanism and dependency. The body of the man and horse are solid and flexed resulting in the inevitable denouement of sexual strength.
I guarantee you, when you visit the Peggy Guggenheim, you’ll hear laughter when visitors first see this work.

Darwin ; Day Trip 3 (Katherine Gorge) - South of Darwin

I gotta admit....this was the LONGEST day trip, and least satisfying ! The Wife and I agreed...once you've seen the Grand Canyon, the Katherine Gorge is pretty lame !!!

Some pics, anyway...

Here was our AAT King ride for the day...a pretty neat 4WD "beast" !!!

First stop was the War Cemetery...beautiful place ! Found a "Gordon" buried there...maybe a distant relative of the Wife's "Clan Gordon" ??? May he rest in peace...

So a stop at a roadside place for lunch...in the U.S., we'd call it a "truck stop" !!! :D A GREAT "toasty" sandwich !

OTOH, we couldn't believe the "road train" that parked outside !!! Bus driver said : "We don't see one that big very often !!!" OMG !!! Can you imagine passing one of these on a U.S. highway ??? They have triples out west, but we don't see anything this big, here on the East Coast...
