I know that the auto tracker is basically for fun and a contest but...
I made sure I entered my IFT as soon as I knew it went through, hoping to scoot up the list as high as humanly possible ... The I see a member in the top 15 with 4 IFTs in Sept? Not once to the G fund. At least I won't be wasting any more time in that area of this great site.

Not sure what his story is, but I put in an adjustment IFT on the 2nd or 3rd trading day to account for my contributions. My balance is still small enough that the contributions make a difference.

Into Sep in S, then adj to 3/97 F/S, then F (first real IFT), then S (second real IFT), and soon into G (unless I think it is a good idea to go into Oct in S-fund.

Mine is just an example, right or wrong.

Why are you so upset? The tracker isn't a government computer generated entity that someone was paid very well to program to catch when someone violates the IFT rules. It is a very useful tool and has come a long way since myself and a couple of others use to enter members transactions manually. All it takes is to bring it to Tom's attention. There are what, close to a 1000 members on the tracker? A part of it is the honor system and I don't think we can expect Tom to catch every person's moves. Everyone knows, or should know unless they don't actually have a TSP account, that TSP limits our moves to 2 per month unless they are moving to the G fund. The problem is the participant, not the tracker.

I think what deserves a "come on man!!" is someone that has been here three months and because of one person's entries, decides a great resource isn't worth their time. Come on man!

You make a valid point, but this doesn't mean someone is cheating, why not bring it up to a moderator?

I have to recommend that people DON"T start making adjustments to their allocations on the tracker in order to make it more representative of their actual account. No one cares how much money one has in their account, the only thing that matters is what their return on that money is. 5% added to $100000 may bring more profit than 5% added to $1000, but it's still a 5% return.

I didn't mean to suggest someone was intentionally "cheating", just that they should know TSP only allows 2 IFTs per month. If someone needs to cheat in order to win a mug, well, I'll keep my thoughts to myself on that one. I agree that it should be brought to Tom's attention when a mistake is seen.

I sent a report to Tom, he will fix it, must be a mix up. I check out the tracker every day and it's a great tool. All you have to do is check a members tracker results and get an idea if you can count on their advise or not. Really hard to stack the deck because you have to post by 12 noon.

Good catch respo. The AT does get a lot of attention and things like that are usually eventually reported (with a little less fanfare ) .

I also usually check for this at the end of monthly before awarding the prizes.

The 'come on man!' comment was mainly for the person with the 4 IFTs. I figured someone # ? on the AT would eventually see my post. Oh, Intrepid Timer, I seem to have forgotten that newbies are supposed to keep their mouth shut. Sorry to have irritated you. I didn't expect this much attention for this post since It didn't seem to be a very active forum. I don't want to be one to cause any strife So I ask one of the moderators to delete this thread if he or she thinks it would be appropriate.
