Arlington

Thanks Buster. Haven't made it to Arlington, but during a work week in DC couple years back, I walked the Mall, especially walked the WWII Memorial and especially made a point of the Viet Nam memorial where I spent the most time of all. I'd been to the Washington monument and Lincoln Memorial during my teen years, so they were important but not the emotional experience the 2 newer memorials were for me.

We DO need to remember Arlington, Buster. Visiting Arlington was an emotional experience for me. I looked at the rows of crosses and was overwhelmed by the sacrifice. I wondered how many potential da Vincis and Mozarts and Hawkingses were buried there.

They died to protect our freedoms, including the right of freely speaking as long as it doesn't impinge on the freedom of others. And those crosses are interspersed with Stars of David and with Muslim crescents as well.

Yes, we all need to remember Arlington and what that sacred place truly symbolizes.
