Anyone have a problem making IFT today?

Two people have reported that the TSP did not accept their IFT today. As you probably know, we've been anticipating the shut down to start after noon ET on May 26.

Anyone else want to share their experience, whether you made an IFT successfully or were denied?

Yes and when I called to make it over the phone they drug out the time until it was to late even though I told them I needed to get it done quickly. I ended up just cancelling it.

Thanks. It sounds like the phone reps aren't very informed as we are getting different answers depending on who you talk to.

Did they confirm that they are still processing IFTs this week?

I didn't ask. I was trying to move to be ready for the 26th and just got tic'd off because their delay tactic would have made the trade go in tomorrow. I was trying to hard to get them to move but they insisted in reading everything to me and would start over and when I broke into to their canned statements to tell them time was running out. I suppose it is my fault since I made my decision to move closer to the cut off time but I didn't know they were going be doing stuff that prevent online transactions.

You couldn't even go to your statements because they wanted my account number and I don't have it written down so that took awhile to get them to understand the the site was messed up. I normally just look at a statement to get my account number and couldn't. Anyway it's messed up and if I had to bet, I would put all my money on them getting ready for their upgrade.

IMO the best upgrade they could do would be to allow us to handle our moves as we see fit not them. Trade later in the day = upgrade, more then 2 trades a month = upgrade. Making the site pretty = who cares

I had to call it in. Spoke with Rep at 11:56am and got the transfer in under the wire.

I thought I had made it too but when I was finally able to log in the date online said it would go in the 24th vice today. You might check just in case. I ended up canceling it online since it showed tomorrow.

Thanks for heads up - will check. When I spoke with the rep she made sure to check the transfer went through and said it would take effect end of business today.

She also said there were a lot of people calling in with tech issues this morning. Not good.

I made a xfer on 24 May - when I just checked, it had not processed received this notice:

"We are temporarily not accepting contribution allocation and interfund transfer requests as of 05/25/2022 12 noon Eastern Time, while we make enhancements to the TSP. Once the TSP enhancements are in place the first week of June, you'll be able to complete investment transaction requests". Learn more.

I tried to cancel it today, received the notice that I can't cancell it since it was being processed. Called and got busy signal.

Ugh, that doesn't sound right... what time on the 24th? Not that it matters because even if it was after the noon deadline it should have been effective COB on 5/25. You should be in that allocation starting this morning (Thurs) using the closing prices of Wed. :scratchchin:

I see on the autotracker that you input an IFT last Sunday, so that would have been a Monday COB trade to be in the new funds for Tuesday 5/24.
