Another suggestion for the tracker

Tom - I'm sorry I keep thinking up ways to "improve" the tracker...but here goes.

Next to the daily ranking I would like to know how many places up or down each member moved since the day before.

Example - COB on monday MemberABC was #250 and COB on tuesday MemberABC was at #235.
Next to MemberABC would be +15

Or if MemberDEF was #97 and fell to #297 there would be -200.

Again I apologize but I think this would show who's on the move.

Thanks for the suggestion. I won't make any promises, but I'll look into it.

 Maybe you should poll this idea? I mean it isnt a bad idea but do we want to encumber the tracker with more data? It already is slow to load and all of us dont have super wide broadband connections.

I have wireless @ home and frankly its not a lot better than a (fast) modem at times.

Loads pretty fast on my iPad2 with 16mb down with Charter. :p

How about a phone application for TSP Talk that has push notifications whenever someone in the top 10 changes their fund allocation? :D

I just see people making comments about their own performance regarding how they "moved from the 700's to the 400's" or "I gained 75 spots even though I lost money." Things like that. I've always wanted an easy way to tell who's making the big moves in position on the tracker.

Tom - Thanks for taking the time to consider it. :)

Maybe if you paginate the webpage (1-100, 101-200, etc) then it would load faster.

Most of us can guess where we are on the list... 600+ for me :D

That is already a feature. Just click on the column heading if it is underlined. Only weekly and daily returns can not be sorted (on that page).

I know. I was just pointing out that I was the one who suggested it.

If you have concerns about this new suggestion don't think another thing about it. It was just a suggestion after all. ;)

Peace! :)

See now you're confusing me. I only have so many brain cells left.

Yeah, there are some issues with that suggestion, but don't let that stop you from more suggestions. I'm not as creative as many of you and I could use the ideas. :)

Tom just leave it as is. Any more data and I'll be Three sheets to the wind. Suggest those that want change, they can file/print out the file each weekend and compare the data. Once a week should be enough. On second week use the search box to lookup those names interested in. I understand some of us use more than one monitor for similar work.

Tom, I know you work hard keeping the tracker and all others of the site operating properly. We don't show our apprecation enough. Dann it stop the requests for more and more, and be thankful for what it have which is very very good.

Hay the weekend is here already. You guys let down your hair and have some fun.

Thanks,
Ira
