    Submitted partial withdrawal request 1 Dec. Spouse email came shortly after submission. She signed it and sent it. Withdrawal was taken out of TSP at COB 2 Dec. Money was deposited in credit union account on 3 Dec.

    Anyone recently make a one time partial withdrawal and if so how long did it take for the transaction to take place in your TSP account?

    The TSP will automatically send the first year RMD in March of the year the owner turns 74. You can avoid this by withdrawing at least the RMD amount by 31 Dec in the year the owner turns 73.

    Suddenly it’s RMD time for me. Yeah shoulda started converting some of TSP to Roth years ago but… The TSP site tells me they will automatically send the first year’s RMD on 31 Mar 26. Not good for the 2026 tax year so I will withdraw at least that amount in November or December. Just a heads...
